Abstract:
The present invention provides a learning device for learning to appropriately determine, from an image on a computer, the position and orientation to grip an object. According to one embodiment, a learning device is provided with: a detection unit which detects information about the position at which an object is present, and about a teaching tool gripping the object; a teacher data generation means which converts the information detected by the detection unit about the teaching tool into information about the position and orientation of the teaching tool, and generates teacher data that is data linking the information about the position at which the object is present and the information about the position and orientation of the teaching tool gripping the object; and a learning unit which uses the teacher data to learn a learning model represented as a neural network model having multiple layers, wherein, when information about the position at which a target object is present is input through the detection unit, the learning model outputs information about the position and orientation of a gripping means capable of gripping the target object.
