Abstract:
In the present invention, an ECU (40) causes fuel to be injected with a valve (34) being open as a result of an electric current being passed to a fuel injection valve (30) provided in an engine. The ECU is provided with: an injection control unit that executes partial lift injection in which the fuel injection valve is driven to be open during an energization time period that elapses before the valve reaches a fully lifted position; a characteristic acquisition unit that acquires, as actual lift characteristics, the actual lifting behavior of the valve when partial lift injection is being executed; and a fuel injection correction unit that compares the actual lift characteristics acquired by the characteristic acquisition unit with predetermined reference characteristics, and corrects the fuel injection amount for partial lift injection on the basis of the comparison results.
