Abstract:
Provided is a thermal-insulated multiple pipe for superconducting power transmission, having high thermal insulation properties and having no damage to spacers even when laid using the reel-lay method. A thermal-insulated multiple pipe for superconducting power transmission, comprising: a superconducting cable; a multiplex pipe comprising a plurality of straight pipes and housing the superconducting cable; and a plurality of spacers arranged between two adjacent straight pipes among the plurality of straight pipes. The cross-section shape of the spacers, in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the thermal-insulated multiple pipe for superconducting power transmission, is a polygon having at least three vertices. The spacers comprise a through-hole in the center of the surface perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the thermal-insulated multiple pipe for superconducting power transmission. The straight pipe on the inner side out of two adjacent straight pipes is arranged to pass through the through-hole. The friction coefficient µi between the spacer and the inner straight pipe out of the two adjacent straight pipes is no more than 0.1. The friction coefficient µo between the spacer and the outer straight pipe out of the two adjacent straight pipes is no more than 0.1. The ratio (Ld /d) between the inner diameter d of the outer straight pipe out of the two adjacent straight pipes and the diagonal equivalent length Ld of the polygon is no more than 0.9.
