Title: HEAT EXCHANGER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Abstract:
According to the present invention, a heat transfer body 3 having an inner space 7 in which a high temperature-side fluid is generated or flows is prepared. The heat transfer body 3 is a component of a heat exchanger, and is a wall formed of a copper material and surrounding an inner space 7 in which one among a high-temperature side fluid and a low-temperature side fluid is present. Inside the wall, a flow passage 9 is formed in which the other one among the high-temperature side fluid and the low-temperature side fluid flows. An LMD layer is directly formed, through an LMD process, on the outer peripheral surface 3a of the heat transfer body 3. In the LMD process, a metal material is supplied to a supply position on the peripheral surface 3a of the heat transfer body 3, the supply position is irradiated with a laser beam to melt both the outer peripheral surface 3a and the metal material, whereby an LMD layer 5 composed of a metal material and bonded to the peripheral surface 3a is formed. The energy density of the laser beam is set to a level high enough to melt both the metal material and the outer peripheral surface 3a.
