Title: METHOD FOR PRODUCING NEGATIVE ELECTRODE FOR LITHIUM-ION SECONDARY BATTERY, NEGATIVE ELECTRODE, AND NEGATIVE ELECTRODE ACTIVE MATERIAL
Abstract:
Provided are: a method for producing a negative electrode that is for a lithium-ion secondary battery and that has a reduced irreversible capacity in initial stages of a cycle and exhibits excellent cycle characteristics; a negative electrode; and a negative electrode active material. A negative electrode 18 is produced through a negative electrode precursor formation step and a heating step. In the negative electrode precursor formation step, a slurry containing particles of a negative electrode active material, which are formed by providing a Sn metallic body on the surface of Si nanoparticles 60, is applied on a negative-electrode collector 26 to form a negative electrode precursor. In the heating step, the negative electrode precursor is heated to a temperature of 50-350°C in an oxygen-containing atmosphere so as to oxidize the surface of the Sn metallic body.
