Abstract:
Provided is an object detection device in which a detected distance acquisition unit (301) acquires a detected distance on the basis of the output of a distance measurement sensor (21) in cases in which a distance acquisition condition is met. In cases in which the distance acquisition condition is not met, an estimated distance acquisition unit (302) acquires an estimated distance on the basis of a relative movement state acquired by a vehicle speed sensor (22) or the like and a past detected distance acquired by the detected distance acquisition unit. The cases in which the distance acquisition condition is not met include cases in which a reception wave having a strength equal to or greater than a threshold value is not received by the distance measurement sensor and cases in which the distance acquisition condition is not met even though a reception wave having a strength equal to or greater than the threshold value was received by the distance detection sensor.
