Abstract:
A process for treating a glass or porcelain component having an outer surface provided with a hydrophobic protective coating based on zinc oxide is characterized in that it comprises the following steps: - a treatment (101) consisting in attaching diatomaceous earth to the outer surface of the component in order to increase the roughness thereof, - a treatment (103) consisting in placing, on the outer surface with increased roughness, the hydrophobic protective coating based on zinc oxide, - a treatment (105) consisting in causing blocks of zinc oxide having a height between 1 μm and 8 μm to grow on the protective coating, and a treatment (106) consisting in placing the component in an oven at a temperature of between 250 and 350°C for a duration of between 4 and 15 hours in order to obtain a superhydrophobic protective coating.
