Abstract:
(EN) A method of lowering an elongate member from a raised position to a lowered position is described, the elongate member comprising a stator of a Flettner rotor, the method comprising the steps of transferring the elongate member from a first mode, in which loads are borne along a first load path between the elongate member and a base, to a second mode, in which loads are borne along a second load path between the elongate member and the base, which second load path includes a pivot axis, by separating the elongate member from the base and engaging a pivot mechanism therebetween and, with the elongate member in the second mode, lowering the elongate member about the pivot axis. Also described are a corresponding method of raising the elongate member and an elongate member raising and lowering mechanism.
(FR) Procédé d'abaissement d'un élément allongé d'une position élevée à une position abaissée, l'élément allongé comprenant un stator d'un rotor de Flettner, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à transférer l'élément allongé d'un premier mode, dans lequel des charges sont portées le long d'un premier chemin de charge entre l'élément allongé et une base, à un second mode, dans laquelle des charges sont portées le long d'un second chemin de charge entre l'élément allongé et la base, lequel second chemin de charge comprend un axe de pivotement, par la séparation de l'élément allongé de la base et par la mise en prise d'un mécanisme de pivotement entre eux et, avec l'élément allongé dans le second mode, par l'abaissement de l'élément allongé autour de l'axe de pivotement. L'invention concerne également un procédé correspondant d'élévation de l'élément allongé et un mécanisme d'élévation et d'abaissement d'élément allongé.
