Abstract:
(EN) Provided herein are recombinant host cells having a heterologous polynucleotide encoding a xylose isomerase, wherein the cells are capable of improved growth on xylose. Also described are processes of fermenting saccharified material using the recombinant cells to produce ethanol at higher yields.
(FR) L'invention concerne des cellules hôtes de recombinaison ayant un polynucléotide hétérologue codant pour une xylose isomérase, les cellules étant capables d'une croissance améliorée sur le xylose. L'invention concerne également des procédés de fermentation de matière saccharifiée à l'aide des cellules de recombinaison pour produire de l'éthanol à des rendements plus élevés.
