Abstract:
(EN) A vehicle braking system (20) has a primary braking unit (22) with a first pressure generating unit (34) and a first reservoir (26). The vehicle braking system (20) further has a secondary braking unit (24) with a second pressure generating unit (52) and second reservoir (70). A method of operating the vehicle braking system (20) includes actuating the pressure generating unit (34) of the primary braking unit (22) thereby pressurizing a fluid at a wheel cylinder (30) to slow or stop the vehicle. The wheel cylinder (30) is depressurized in response to an electrical signal provided to an electronic control unit (100,102). The fluid is transferred from the wheel cylinder (30) to the second reservoir (70). The fluid path (PI) between the wheel cylinder (30) and the second reservoir (70) is shorter and has less fluid resistance than the fluid path (P2) between the wheel cylinder (30) and the first reservoir (26). The present invention further comprises two braking systems. The present inventions are intended for fast pressure depressurization at quick start or launch control.
(FR) Système de freinage (20) de véhicule comportant une unité de freinage primaire (22) dotée d'une première unité de production de pression (34) et un premier réservoir (26). Le système de freinage (20) de véhicule comporte en outre une unité de freinage secondaire (24) dotée d'une seconde unité de production de pression (52) et un second réservoir (70). Un procédé de fonctionnement du système de freinage (20) de véhicule comprend l'actionnement de l'unité de production de pression (34) de l'unité de freinage primaire (22), ce qui permet de mettre sous pression un fluide au niveau d'un cylindre de roue (30) pour ralentir ou arrêter le véhicule. Le cylindre de roue (30) est dépressurisé en réponse à un signal électrique fourni à une unité de commande électronique (100, 102). Le fluide est transféré du cylindre de roue (30) au second réservoir (70). Le chemin de fluide (PI) entre le cylindre de roue (30) et le second réservoir (70) est plus court et présente moins de résistance aux fluides que le chemin de fluide (P2) entre le cylindre de roue (30) et le premier réservoir (26). La présente invention comprend en outre deux systèmes de freinage. La présente invention est destinée à une dépressurisation à pression rapide lors d'une commande de lancement ou d'un démarrage rapide.
