Abstract:
(EN) Propagation of leaky Lamb waves in pipe walls is used to provide a clamp-on acoustic flow meter for single-phase fluid flow in pipes. The received acoustic signals can be analyzed analytically, or by matching to numerical models, or with machine learning. In a preferred embodiment, variation of penetration depth of the leaky Lamb waves into the fluid flow with frequency provides an approach for measuring flow rate vs. radius with a clamp-on flow meter.
(FR) Selon l’invention, la propagation d'ondes de Lamb à fuite dans des parois de tuyau est utilisée pour fournir un débitmètre acoustique à pince de serrage pour un écoulement de fluide monophasique dans des tuyaux. Les signaux acoustiques reçus peuvent être analysés de manière analytique, ou par mise en correspondance avec des modèles numériques, ou avec un apprentissage automatique. Selon un mode de réalisation préféré, la variation de la profondeur de pénétration des ondes de Lamb à fuite dans l’écoulement de fluide avec la fréquence fournit une approche pour mesurer le débit vs le rayon avec un débitmètre à pince de serrage.
