Abstract:
(EN) A tissue-removing catheter (10) for removing tissue in a body lumen includes an elongate body (12). A tissue-removing element (20) mounted on a distal end portion (18) of the elongate body (12). The tissue-removing element (20) includes a body including an exterior surface having a first segment (80) extending from a proximal end toward a distal end of the tissue-removing element (20). A second segment (82) extends from the first segment (80) toward the distal end of the tissue-removing element (20). A third segment (84) extends from the second segment (84) to the distal end of the tissue-removing element (20). A transition between the first (80) and second (82) segments defines a first angle (α) formed between the first (80) and second (82) segments. A transition between the second (82) and third (84) segments defines a second angle (β) formed between the second (82) and third (84) segments. The tissue-removing element (20) is configured to remove the tissue as the tissue-removing element (20) is rotated by the elongate body (12) within the body lumen.
