Abstract:
(EN) Cutting elements for earth-boring tools may include a substrate and a poly crystalline, superabrasive material secured to an end of the substrate. The poly crystalline superabrasive material may include a first transition surface extending in a direction oblique to a central axis of the substrate, a second transition surface extending in a second direction oblique to the central axis, the second direction being different from the first direction, and a curved, stress-reduction feature located on the second transition surface.
(FR) L'invention concerne des éléments de coupe destinés à des outils de forage pouvant comprendre un substrat et un matériau superabrasif polycristallin fixé à une extrémité du substrat. Le matériau superabrasif polycristallin peut comprendre une première surface de transition, s'étendant dans une direction oblique par rapport à un axe central du substrat, une seconde surface de transition, s'étendant dans une seconde direction oblique par rapport à l'axe central, la seconde direction étant différente de la première direction, et une caractéristique incurvée de réduction de contrainte, située sur la seconde surface de transition.
