Abstract:
(EN) A method of performing a hail communication attempt includes checking capacitor voltage of a capacitor in a battery pack powering a hailing device to determine whether the capacitor voltage equals or exceeds a threshold voltage, and responsive to determining that the capacitor voltage equals or exceeds the threshold voltage, transmitting a hail (ping) message to a target device, determining whether the hailing device has received a responsive pong message from the target device, and responsive to determining that the hailing device has received a responsive pong message, terminating the hail communication attempt in preparation for sending data to the target device. Hail communication attempts are limited according to a predetermined maximum number of consecutive groups of consecutive hail messages, the capacitor voltage check occurring before the sending of each group. The method is compatible with target devices having different sniffing intervals, so long as those sniffing intervals have predefined relationships.
(FR) Un procédé d'exécution d'une tentative de communication de salutation comprend les étapes consistant à : vérifier une tension d'un condensateur dans un bloc-batterie alimentant un dispositif de salutation de façon à déterminer si la tension du condensateur est supérieure ou égale à une tension de seuil ; en réponse à une détermination indiquant que la tension du condensateur est supérieure ou égale à la tension de seuil, transmettre un message de salutation (ping) à un dispositif cible ; déterminer si le dispositif de salutation a reçu un message pong de réponse provenant du dispositif cible ; et, en réponse à une détermination indiquant que le dispositif de salutation a reçu un message pong de réponse, achever la tentative de communication de salutation en préparation pour envoyer des données au dispositif cible. Les tentatives de communication de salutation sont limitées en fonction d'un nombre maximal prédéterminé de groupes consécutifs de messages de salutation consécutifs, la vérification de la tension du condensateur étant effectuée avant l'envoi de chaque groupe. Le procédé est compatible avec des dispositifs cibles ayant des intervalles de reniflage différents du moment que ces intervalles de reniflage entretiennent des relations prédéfinies.
