Abstract:
(EN) A method of controlling operation of a field-powered biometric device (1 ) comprising biometric acquisition circuitry (16), processing circuitry (18) controllable to transition between a first functional state having a first power consumption and a second functional state having a second power consumption lower than the first power consumption, and power management circuitry (20). The method comprises the steps of monitoring (100), by the power management circuitry (20), a property indicative of a supply voltage (Vsupply) to the processing circuitry (18); controlling (104), when the monitored property indicates that the supply voltage has fallen to a first threshold voltage (VTH1 ), the processing circuitry (18) to transition from the first functional state to the second functional state; and controlling (1 10), when the monitored property indicates that the supply voltage (Vsupply) has increased to a second threshold voltage (VTH2) higher than the first threshold voltage (VTH1 ), the processing circuitry (18) to transition from the second functional state to the first functional state.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de commande du fonctionnement d'un dispositif biométrique alimenté par un champ (1) comprenant un ensemble de circuits d'acquisition biométrique (16), un ensemble de circuits de traitement (18) pouvant être commandé pour passer entre un premier état fonctionnel ayant une première consommation d'énergie et un second état fonctionnel ayant une seconde consommation d'énergie inférieure à la première consommation d'énergie, et un ensemble de circuits de gestion d'énergie (20).
