Abstract:
(EN) The present disclosure describes an integrated process to produce MTBE and EO/MEG from isobutane, oxygen, and ethylene streams. The isobutane is oxidized to produce TBHP, which is then used in an epoxidation reaction with ethylene to produce ethyl oxide and ethylene glycol along with TBA. The TBA is then dehydrated to generate isobutylene, which is fed, along with methanol, into an MTBE synthesis unit to produce MTBE.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé intégré pour produire du MTBE et EO/MEG à partir de flux d'isobutane, d'oxygène et d'éthylène. L'isobutane est oxydé pour produire du TBHP, qui est ensuite utilisé dans une réaction d'époxydation avec de l'éthylène pour produire de l'oxyde d'éthyle et de l'éthylène glycol avec le TBA. Le TBA est ensuite déshydraté pour générer de l'isobutylène, qui est introduit avec du méthanol dans une unité de synthèse de MTBE pour produire du MTBE.
