Abstract:
(EN) A method of forming a glass article includes providing a first glass sheet. The first glass sheet is heated to a temperature suitable for shaping. The first glass sheet is deposited on a first bending tool. An edge portion of the first glass sheet is disposed over a shaping surface of the first bending tool. The shaping surface of the first bending tool is configured to provide in the first glass sheet a compression area and a tension area. The first glass sheet is shaped on the first bending tooland the compression area is formed in the edge portion of the first glass sheet. The compression area includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has a width which is greater than a width of a second portion.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de formation d'un article en verre comprenant l'utilisation d'une première feuille de verre. La première feuille de verre est chauffée à une température appropriée pour le façonnage. La première feuille de verre est déposée sur un premier outil de cintrage. Une partie de bord de la première feuille de verre est disposée sur une surface de façonnage du premier outil de cintrage. La surface de façonnage du premier outil de cintrage est conçue pour réaliser, dans la première feuille de verre, une zone de compression et une zone de tension. La première feuille de verre est façonnée sur le premier outil de cintrage et la zone de compression est formée dans la partie de bord de la première feuille de verre. La zone de compression comprend une première partie et une deuxième partie. La première partie présente une largeur qui est supérieure à une largeur d'une deuxième partie.
