Abstract:
(EN) The invention provides CaO2 nanoparticles having a p H-responsive coating for use in a method of adjuvant therapy of hypoxic tumour cells or tissues. The nanoparticles find particular use in enhancing cancer therapies that depend on oxygen to exert their effect, such as photodynamic therapy (PDT), sonodynamic therapy (SDT), and radiotherapy. The invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions containing the coated CaO2 nanoparticles, together with at least one photosensitiser, sonosensitiser, or radiosensitiser and, optionally, at least one pharmaceutical carrier or excipient.
(FR) L'invention concerne des nanoparticules de CaO2 ayant un revêtement sensible au pH pour son utilisation dans un procédé de thérapie adjuvante de cellules ou de tissus tumoraux hypoxiques. Les nanoparticules trouvent une utilisation particulière dans l'amélioration de thérapies anticancéreuses qui dépendent de l'oxygène pour exercer leur effet, tels qu'une thérapie photodynamique (PDT), une thérapie sonodynamique (SDT) et une radiothérapie. L'invention concerne également des compositions pharmaceutiques contenant les nanoparticules de CaO2 enrobées, conjointement à au moins un photosensibilisateur, un sonosensibilisateur, ou un radiosensibilisateur et, facultativement, au moins un vecteur ou excipient pharmaceutique.
