Abstract:
(EN) Embodiments of the present invention provide a method of and an apparatus for determining conductivity of a metal target. An interrogation magnetic field is provided and induces an electrical current in the metal target. A resultant magnetic field is generated by the electrical current. In-phase and out-of-phase components of the resultant magnetic field are determined for the target at a first frequency (conductivity limit due to skin depth) and a second frequency of the interrogation magnetic field respectively. The conductivity of the metal target is determined based on the in-phase and out-of-phase components at the first and second frequencies.
(FR) La présente invention concerne, selon certains modes de réalisation, un procédé et un appareil permettant de déterminer la conductivité d'une cible métallique. Selon l'invention, un champ magnétique d'interrogation induit un courant électrique dans la cible métallique. Un champ magnétique ainsi obtenu est généré par le courant électrique. Des composantes en phase et hors phase du champ magnétique ainsi obtenu sont déterminées pour la cible, respectivement, à une première fréquence (limite de conductivité due à la profondeur de la peau) et à une seconde fréquence du champ magnétique d'interrogation. La conductivité de la cible métallique est déterminée sur la base des composantes en phase et hors phase à la première et à la seconde fréquence.
