Title: DENTAL IMPLANT WITH BIODEGRADABLE PROTECTIVE LAYER
Abstract:
A dental implant with a biodegradable protective layer. The dental implant comprises an implant body and a central screw. The implant body comprises an abutment (a1) and an implant fixture (a2). The implant body is internally provided with a positioning hole (a4) matching the central screw. The implant fixture (a2) comprises a permeation section (a21). The permeation section (a21) is a porous component. An outer surface of the permeation section (a21) is covered with a protective layer (a22). Pores of the permeation section (a21) are connected to the positioning hole (a4). The protective layer (a22) is formed by curing a biodegradable coating. The biodegradable coating is one or more of a polylactic acid, a polyglycolic acid, a polycaprolactone, or a poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid). The porous component is used to manufacture the permeation section (a21) of the dental implant and the protective layer (a22) is used to seal the pores at the outer surface of the permeation section (a21). After the dental implant is implanted in a patient, a bactericidal solution or a pharmaceutical solution that promotes peri-implant bone healing can be injected through the positioning hole (a4) into the permeation section (a21). When the protective layer (a22) at the outer surface of the permeation section (a21) degrades, the pharmaceutical solution percolates slowly, achieving continuous medicament delivery, so as to achieve the goal of higher success rates for rapid dental implantation.
