Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing mechanical energy from the heat of the environment, which can be used to generate electric power through the operation of electromechanical equipment, so as to allow power-generating plants to be placed in any available location, subject only to the existence of a temperature fluctuation and high pressures, and which comprises the following steps: (a) providing a pipe with one closed end, having a piston inside of same for forming a closed circuit; (b) filling said pipe with a compressible and expandable fluid; (c) connecting said piston to a unit for generating electric power; (d) compressing said pipe until transforming said fluid into a liquid, so as to pressurise same, with the piston needing to be at the minimum travel thereof with the servo-brake actuated; (e) exposing said closed circuit to the environment, which has a temperature variation, deactivating the servo-brake in order to cause the fluid to expand, the expansion moving the piston in order to produce mechanical work; (f) braking the piston with a servo-brake to increase the pressure; (g) releasing the servo-brake to release the piston; and (h) exposing said closed circuit to the environment, which has a lower or higher temperature, so as to cause the fluid to contract and to retract the piston to an initial position in order to begin a new cycle. The present invention also relates to the system for carrying out the method.
