Abstract:
(EN) A battery block comprises first and second batteries each defining at least one vent port, a first terminal assembly connected to a positive terminal of the first battery, a second terminal assembly connected to a positive terminal of the second battery, at least one connector assembly connected to a negative terminal of the first battery and to a positive terminal of the second battery, and a matrix of rigid material. The matrix of rigid material surrounds at least a portion of the first and second batteries to secure the first and second batteries together, covers the at least one connector assembly to inhibit removal of the at least one connector assembly from the negative terminal of the first battery and the positive terminal of the second battery, and defines a void over at least a portion of the at least one vent port in the first and second batteries.
(FR) L'invention concerne un bloc-batterie comprenant des première et seconde batteries délimitant chacune au moins un orifice d'évent, un premier ensemble de bornes connecté à une borne positive de la première batterie, un second ensemble de bornes connecté à une borne positive de la seconde batterie, au moins un ensemble connecteur connecté à une borne négative de la première batterie et à une borne positive de la seconde batterie, et une matrice de matériau rigide. La matrice de matériau rigide entoure au moins une partie des première et seconde batteries pour fixer l'une à l'autre les première et seconde batteries, recouvre ledit ensemble connecteur pour empêcher un retrait dudit ensemble connecteur de la borne négative de la première batterie et de la borne positive de la seconde batterie, et délimite un vide sur au moins une partie dudit orifice d'évent ménagé dans les première et seconde batteries.
