Abstract:
(EN) Embodiments are related to scalable surface feature formation in a substrate and, more particularly, to systems and methods for forming displays using mechanically pressed patterns. The system comprises: a cooling roller by which a first heated glass material at a first temperature is pressed to yield a second heated glass material at a second temperature and a viscosity; and a structure roller by which the second heated glass material is pressed to form a pattern into the second heated glass material to yield a pattern glass substrate, wherein the structure roller includes a rolling surface from which a plurality of structures extend, and wherein the pattern in the patterned glass substrate corresponds to the plurality of structures.
(FR) L'invention concerne, selon des modes de réalisation, la formation de caractéristiques de surface à échelle modifiable dans un substrat et, plus particulièrement, des systèmes et des procédés servant à former des affichages à l'aide de motifs pressés mécaniquement. Le système comprend : un rouleau de refroidissement au moyen duquel un premier matériau de verre chauffé à une première température est pressé pour produire un deuxième matériau de verre chauffé à une deuxième température et une viscosité ; et un rouleau de structure au moyen duquel le deuxième matériau de verre chauffé est pressé pour former un motif dans le deuxième matériau de verre chauffé pour produire un substrat de verre de motif, dans lequel le rouleau de structure comprend une surface de roulement en provenance de laquelle s'étendent une pluralité de structures, et dans lequel le motif dans le substrat de verre à motifs correspond à la pluralité de structures.
