Abstract:
(EN) A lubricant composition is provided containing an oil of lubricating viscosity and a substantially sulfur-free alkyl phosphate amine salt, where at least 30 mole percent of the phosphorus atoms are in an alkyl pyrophosphate salt structure, along with either or both of a conventional phosphorous containing antiwear additive and a glycerol ester. In the phosphate amine salt, at least 80 mole percent of the alkyl groups are typically secondary alkyl groups of 3 to 12 carbon atoms. A method of improving wear over a wide temperature range in a mechanical device is also provided by employing the lubricant composition.
(FR) L'invention concerne une composition lubrifiante contenant une huile de viscosité lubrifiante et un sel d'alkylphosphate d'amine sensiblement exempt de soufre, au moins 30 % en mole des atomes de phosphore se trouvant dans une structure de sel de pyrophosphate d'alkyle, conjointement avec l'un ou les deux parmi un additif anti-usure contenant du phosphore classique et un ester de glycérol. Dans le sel de phosphate d'amine, au moins 80 % en mole des groupes alkyle sont généralement des groupes alkyle secondaire de 3 à 12 atomes de carbone. L'invention concerne également un procédé d'amélioration de l'usure sur une large plage de températures dans un dispositif mécanique par l'utilisation de la composition lubrifiante.
