Abstract:
(EN) An electrowetting coalescing device for coalescing droplets of a dispersed phase within a continuous phase includes an inlet in fluid communication with a first porous layer and a second porous layer. The first porous layer is employed as a first electrode and the second porous layer is employed as a second electrode, and a voltage difference exists between the first porous layer and the second porous layer to thereby create an electric field between the first porous layer and the second porous layer. The electrowetting coalescing device includes an outlet for receiving a fluid having passed through the first porous layer and the second porous layer.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif de coalescence par électromouillage pour la coalescence de gouttelettes d'une phase dispersée dans une phase continue. Ce dispositif comprend une entrée en communication fluidique avec une première couche poreuse et une seconde couche poreuse. La première couche poreuse est utilisée en tant que première électrode et la seconde couche poreuse est utilisée en tant que seconde électrode, et une différence de tension existe entre la première couche poreuse et la seconde couche poreuse pour créer ainsi un champ électrique entre les deux couches poreuses. Le dispositif de coalescence par électromouillage comprend une sortie pour recevoir un fluide ayant traversé la première couche poreuse et la seconde couche poreuse.
