Abstract:
(EN) Disclosed herein is a hydrogel wound dressing having a wound-contact side and a non-wound-contact side wherein the rate of moisture evaporation from said non-wound contact side is faster than the rate of moisture evaporation from said wound contact side, thereby causing said dressing to curl toward said non-wound contact side upon drying. Optionally, the hydrogel wound dressing can be comprised of two materials having different rates of moisture evaporation bonded together to form a bilayer structure.
(FR) L'invention concerne un pansement hydrogel de plaie comprenant un côté de contact et un côté de non-contact avec une plaie, le taux d'évaporation d'humidité à partir du côté de non-contact avec la plaie étant plus rapide que le taux d'évaporation d'humidité à partir du côté de contact avec la plaie, ce qui amène le pansement à se courber vers le côté de non-contact avec la plaie, lorsqu'il se dessèche. Le cas échéant, le pansement hydrogel de plaie peut être composé de deux matériaux, présentant différents taux d'évaporation d'humidité, liés ensemble pour former une structure bicouche.
