Abstract:
The present invention relates to an optical fiber end surface machining apparatus, which relates to an optical fiber and, in particular, is capable of machining an optical fiber end surface according to requirements such that light can be emitted in one direction or in multiple directions, the optical fiber end surface machining apparatus comprising: a polishing plate rotated on the upper surface of a bed; a post erected on one side of the bed; an arm unit connected to the post, and being rotatable so as to enable angle adjustment; a fixing chuck mounted on a distal end of the arm such that an optical fiber is held; a driving unit for rotating the polishing plate; a polishing film placed on the upper surface of the polishing plate; and a monitoring unit for monitoring a process in which an end of the optical fiber comes in contact with the polishing film so as to be machined.
