Abstract:
(EN) The present invention provides a lustrous pigment that is suited to suppressing unnaturalness arising from changes in reflected light owing to the observation angle while imparting high luminance to reflected light in the specular reflection direction. A lustrous pigment according to the present invention comprises a flake-form base, an optical interference film formed on the surface of the base, and light scattering fine particles attached to the film, and reflected light is displayed by a L*C*h color system and displayed using an L* (15) exceeding 100, a ΔL* (h-s) of less than 30 and a Δh (h-s) of less than 40°. L* (15) is the L* value of light reflected in a 15° direction based on an angle display in which the specular reflection direction is 0° once a light source has been disposed so that an incidence angle of 45° will be achieved, and the light incidence direction is positive. The ΔL* (h-s) and the Δh (h-s) are differences in the L* and the h of the respective highlights and shades, where h is the difference in the angle in the angle display. The highlight is the average of the values measured at 15° and 25° and the shade is the average of the values measured at 75° and 110°.
