Abstract:
(EN) A magnetic recording medium having a recording track width of 2 μm or less, wherein the magnetic recording medium comprises a recording layer that includes a powder of particles that include ε iron oxide. The squareness ratio of the magnetic recording medium measured in the travel direction is 30% or less, the squareness ratio S1 measured in the travel direction and the squareness ratio S2 measured in the width direction satisfy the relationship S1 ≥ S2. The coercive force is 220-310 kA/m, the activation volume is 8000 nm3 or less, and the peak ratio X/Y on the switching field distribution (SFD) curve of the main peak height X to the height Y of a subpeak near magnetic zero is t least 3.0.
(FR) L'invention concerne un support d'enregistrement magnétique qui comporte une largeur de piste d'enregistrement de 2 µm ou moins, le support d'enregistrement magnétique comprenant une couche d'enregistrement qui comprend une poudre de particules qui comprennent de l'oxyde de fer epsilon. Le rapport de rectitude du support d'enregistrement magnétique mesuré dans la direction de déplacement est de 30 % ou moins, le rapport de rectitude S1 mesuré dans la direction de déplacement et le rapport de rectitude S2 mesurés dans la direction de largeur satisfont la relation S1 ≥ S2.
