The composition comprises a compound represented by formula (C-1), a metal complex represented by formula (1), and a metal complex represented by formula (2). Formula (C-1) [wherein the ring R1C to the ring R4C each denote an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or the like, and RC denotes a carbon atom or the like]; formula (1) [wherein M1 denotes an iridium atom or the like, n1 and n2 each denote an integer, the ring R1A denotes a diazole ring, the ring R2 denotes an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or the like, E1, E2, and E11A to E13A each denote a nitrogen atom or a carbon atom, R11A to R13A each denote a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, or the like, and A1-G1-A2 denotes an anionic bidentate ligand]; formula (2) [wherein M2 denotes an iridium atom or the like, n3 and n4 each denote an integer, EL denotes a carbon atom or the like, the ring L1 denotes a six-membered aromatic heterocyclic ring, the ring L2 denotes an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or the like, and A3-G2-A4 denotes an anionic bidentate ligand; at least one of the ring L1 and the ring L2 has a group represented by formula (1-T)]; and formula (1-T) [wherein R1T denotes an alkyl group, an aryl group, or the like].
