Abstract:
Provided are a rotation angle detection device and rotation angle detection method that make highly accurate rotation angle detection possible. This rotation angle detection device has a plurality of magnetic sensor units for respectively detecting the magnetic fields of a plurality of magnetic tracks provided in a rotating body and outputting a sine signal and cosine signal for each magnetic track. The sine signals and cosine signals are corrected so as to become corrected sine signals and corrected cosine signals on the basis of magnetic sensor correction information set beforehand so as to make the values of the sine signals output by the magnetic sensor units according to the rotation angle of the rotating body approach standard sine signal values for the magnetic sensor units or make the values of the cosine signals output by the sensor units according to the rotation angle of the rotating body approach standard cosine signal values for the magnetic sensor units.
