Abstract:
(EN) There is disclosed a computer-implemented method of providing video clip playback, the method including the steps of: (i) receiving a video feed; (ii) converting the video feed into a compressed format structure, the compressed format structure including a hierarchy of levels of temporal resolution of frames, each respective level of the hierarchy including frames corresponding to a respective temporal resolution of the respective level of the hierarchy, but not including frames which are included in one or more lower levels of lower temporal resolution of frames of the hierarchy; (iii) uploading the compressed format structure to a first server; (iv) receiving an electronic edit decision list which defines how to manipulate the compressed format structure; (v) saving the electronic edit decision list to the first server, or to a second server; (vi) receiving a request to provide in a web browser executing on a user terminal a video clip playback corresponding to a video clip defined by the compressed format structure and the electronic edit decision list; (vii) sending to the web browser code executable in the web browser to provide the video clip playback corresponding to the video clip defined by the compressed format structure stored on the first server and the electronic edit decision list saved on the first server or on the second server, and (viii) responding to requests from the code when executing in the web browser, to provide content corresponding to the compressed format structure stored on the first server, in accordance with the electronic edit decision list saved on the first server or on the second server, to the web browser, to provide the video clip playback. Related systems, processors and computer code are also disclosed.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé mis en œuvre par ordinateur pour fournir une lecture de clip vidéo, le procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes : (i) recevoir un flux vidéo ; (ii) convertir le flux vidéo en une structure de format compressé, la structure de format compressé contenant une hiérarchie de niveaux de résolution temporelle de trames, chaque niveau respectif de la hiérarchie contenant des trames correspondant à une résolution temporelle respective du niveau respectif de la hiérarchie, mais ne contenant pas de trames qui sont présentes dans un ou plusieurs niveaux inférieurs de résolution temporelle inférieure de trames de la hiérarchie ; (iii) effectuer le téléchargement ascendant de la structure de format compressé vers un premier serveur ; (iv) recevoir une liste de décisions de modification électronique qui définit comment manipuler la structure de format compressé ; (v) sauvegarder la liste de décisions de modification électronique sur le premier serveur, ou sur un deuxième serveur ; (vi) recevoir une demande pour fournir sur un navigateur Web s'exécutant sur un terminal d'utilisateur une lecture de clip vidéo correspondant à un clip vidéo défini par la structure de format compressé et la liste de décisions de modification électronique ; (vii) envoyer au navigateur Web du code exécutable dans le navigateur Web pour fournir la lecture de clip vidéo correspondant au clip vidéo défini par la structure de format compressé stockée sur le premier serveur et la liste de décisions de modification électronique sauvegardée sur le premier serveur ou sur le deuxième serveur, et (viii) répondre à des demandes du code lors de l'exécution dans le navigateur Web, pour fournir du contenu correspondant à la structure de format compressé stockée sur le premier serveur, conformément à la liste de décisions de modification électronique sauvegardée sur le premier serveur ou sur le deuxième serveur, au navigateur Web, pour fournir la lecture de clip vidéo.
