Abstract:
(EN) A compact Ethernet switch is provided whereby the electrical path distance of the Ethernet switch between the ASIC and the optical connections is less than 2cm. At the time of this invention, the Ethernet switch can be considered the most compact transceiver design for Ethernet Switch ASIC, it provides state of art bandwidth density, and avoids retimers and shortens the transmission lines between ASIC high speed pins and optical engine thereby insuring lower cost of ASIC carrying PCB, superior signal quality and reduced power consumption.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un commutateur Ethernet compact, grâce auquel la distance de trajet électrique du commutateur Ethernet entre l'ASIC et les connexions optiques est inférieure à 2 cm. À la date de la présente invention, le commutateur Ethernet de l'invention peut être considéré comme la conception d'émetteur-récepteur la plus compacte destinée à un ASIC de commutation Ethernet, il fournit une densité de bande passante d'avant-garde, et évite le réajustement de rythme et raccourcit les lignes de transmission entre des broches à grande vitesse ASIC et un moteur optique, offrant ainsi un coût inférieur de PCB portant un ASIC, une qualité de signal supérieure et une consommation d'énergie réduite.
