Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing a security element (12) comprising a reflective surface region (16) which is perceivable to an observer as a three-dimensional relief motif (14) with a surface in the form of a specified three-dimensional image motif, said surface protruding and/or receding relative to its actual spatial shape, wherein - a first two-dimensional sub-image (20) with a flat projection (22) of the image motif and a second two-dimensional sub-image (24) with fine contour lines are generated from the specified three-dimensional image motif on an x-y plane within the projection of the image motif, - a coarse curve G(x,y) is specified for the flat projection (22) of the image motif for the first sub-image (20), - a fine curve fi(x,y) is specified for each of the fine contour lines (26) for the second sub-image (24), where i=1...N, and N is the number of the specified fine contour lines (26), and - a relief curve R(x,y) = M[G(x,y), fi(x,y)] with a master functional M is calculated from the coarse curve G(x,y) and the fine curves fi(x,y), said relief curve describing a link between the coarse curve G(x,y) and the N fine curves fi(x,y), where i=1...N, and a reflective surface region (16) is generated with a number of inclined reflective micromirror (18) with a local mirror inclination which is determined by the respective relief curve R(x,y).
