Abstract:
Disclosed are a robot (10) and a goods handling method thereof. The robot comprises a moving unit (11), a storage unit (12) and a transfer unit (13). The transfer unit (13) comprises a lifting module (131), a rotating module (132) and a telescoping module (133). The goods handling method of the robot comprises the following steps: providing the robot (10) for handling goods (30), wherein the robot (10) comprises a moving unit (11), a storage unit (12) and a transfer unit (13); and providing a goods shelf (20) for storing the handled goods (30), wherein the goods shelf (20) has a layered structure, each layer is used to store one or more of the goods (30), and the goods shelves (20) are arranged in rows such that a passage is formed between every two rows of the goods shelves (20) for the robot (10) to move therethrough. The robot and the goods handling method thereof according to the present invention can significantly reduce the width of an access passageway and improve goods handling efficiency.
