Abstract:
(EN) Provided herein are plants, and methods of making such plants, that are resistant to cotton bacterial blight (CBB). Also provided herein are methods for modifying, and modifications, to inhibit binding of cognate bacterial TAL effectors to TAL effector binding elements (EBEs) associated with cotton sugar transporter (SWEET) genes. Also provided are nucleic acid and amino acid sequences, and expression vectors and other constructs, for use in methods for producing such bacterial blight-resistant plants, as well as parts, products, and progeny of such plants.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des plantes, et des procédés de fabrication de telles plantes, qui sont résistantes au chantre bactérien du coton (CBB). Sont également décrits dans la description des procédés de modification, et des modifications, afin d'inhiber la liaison d'effecteurs TAL bactériens apparentés à des éléments de liaison (EBE) de l'effecteur TAL associés aux gènes transporteurs de sucre du coton (SWEET).
