Abstract:
(EN) The disclosure relates to a mine shaft conveyance safety brake for controlling the rate of deceleration of a free-falling conveyance, operating within or upon fixed shaft guides, in a vertical, substantially vertical or inclined mine shaft. The safety brake includes an activation system, one or more guide clamp assemblies operable for locking onto one or more shaft guides, one or more braking assemblies and one or more brake paths attached upon the conveyance. Upon detection of a conveyance suspension failure or slack rope condition associated with a free-falling or obstructed condition of the conveyance, the activation system is triggered, causing each guide clamp assembly to self-lock onto a shaft guide. Upon further downward travel of the conveyance, the braking assemblies travel upwardly upon the brake paths, generating increasing braking forces in a controlled manner until the conveyance comes to a controlled stop. The safety brake is purely mechanical in nature, as there are no electronics, electro-mechanical controls or hydraulic systems involved.
(FR) L'invention concerne un frein de sécurité de transport d'arbre de mine pour commander le taux de décélération d'un transport en chute libre, fonctionnant dans ou sur des guides d'arbre fixes, dans un arbre de mine vertical, sensiblement vertical ou incliné. Le frein de sécurité comprend un système d'activation, un ou plusieurs ensembles pince de guidage conçus pour se verrouiller sur un ou plusieurs guides d'arbre, un ou plusieurs ensembles de freinage et un ou plusieurs chemins de freinage fixés sur le moyen de transport. Lors de la détection d'une défaillance de suspension de transport ou d'une condition de corde lâche associée à une condition de chute libre ou obstruée du moyen de transport, le système d'activation est déclenché, amenant chaque ensemble pince de guidage à s'auto-verrouiller sur un guide d'arbre. Lors d'un autre déplacement du moyen de transport vers le bas, les ensembles de freinage se déplacent vers le haut sur les chemins de frein, générant des forces de freinage croissantes de manière contrôlée jusqu'à ce que le moyen de transport arrive à un arrêt commandé. Le frein de sécurité est purement mécanique, car il n'y a pas d'électronique, de commandes électromécaniques ou de systèmes hydrauliques impliqués.
