Abstract:
Disclosed is a short-pulse laser eye-surgery system (5) for treating an eye (40), comprising, - a short-pulse laser eye-surgery device (10) for generating a laser beam for treating the eye (40), - a liquid patient interface (20) for fixing the eye (40) in position, the liquid patient interface (20) comprising a hollow chamber (30) for receiving the liquid and said hollow chamber (30) being located after an ouptut element (22) of the liquid patient interface (20) in the direction (15) of the laser beam, being open on one side facing away from the output element (22) and being sealable by the eye (40). The short-pulse laser eye-surgery device (10) comprises: -- a beam generation device (85) for emitting optical measuring beams from the short-pulse laser eye-surgery device (10) into the liquid patient interface (20), -- a detection device (86) for detecting the reflection and/or backscatter and/or transmission of the optical measuring beams from the liquid patient interface (20) in the short-pulse laser eye-surgery device (10), -- a determination device for determining at least one first measured value from the detected reflection and/or backscatter and/or transmission of the optical measuring beams, and -- a comparison device for comparing the at least one first measured value with a reference value, in order to determine the fill level of the liquid in the hollow chamber (30), the reference value being a fixedly predefined reference value or being a second measured value determined from the reflection and/or backscatter of optical measuring beams when the hollow chamber (30) sealed by the eye (40) was substantially full.
