Abstract:
(EN) Network addresses which are frequently accessed by user terminals are monitored by a network access point to which the terminals are connected, and the network access point then makes attempts (50) to access the network addresses from time to time and makes reports to a network management system (53) of any such network addresses that fail to respond. This increases the likelihood of detection and reporting of failures of active addresses before the user has need of them.
(FR) Dans la présente invention, des adresses de réseau auxquelles des terminaux d'utilisateur accèdent fréquemment sont surveillées par un point d'accès au réseau auquel les terminaux sont connectés, et le point d'accès au réseau effectue ensuite des tentatives (50) d'accès aux adresses de réseau de temps en temps et effectue des rapports à un système de gestion de réseau (53) concernant toutes les éventuelles adresses de réseau qui ne parviennent pas à répondre. Ceci augmente la probabilité de détection et le signalement de défaillances d'adresses actives avant que l'utilisateur en ait besoin.
