Abstract:
(EN) The ultra-short pulse chirped pulse amplification (CPA) laser system and method of operating CPA laser system include outputting nearly transform limited (TL) pulses by a mode locked laser. The system and method further include temporarily stretching the TL pulses by a first Bragg grating providing thus each stretched pulse with a chirp which is further compensated for in a second Bragg grating operating as as a compressor. The laser system and method further include a pulse shaping unit measuring a spectral phase across the recompressed pulse and further adjusting the deviation of the measured spectral phase from that of the TL pulse by generating a corrective signal. The corrective signal is applied to the array of actuators coupled to respective segments of one of the BGs which are selectively actuated to induce the desired phase change, with the one BG thus operating as both stretcher/compressor and pulse shaper.
(FR) La présente invention porte sur un système laser à amplification par compression d'impulsions (CPA) à impulsions ultracourtes et son procédé de fonctionnement, consistant à émettre des impulsions quasi-limitées par transformée de Fourier (TL) au moyen d'un laser à modes bloqués. Le système et le procédé consistent en outre à étirer temporairement les impulsions TL au moyen d'un premier réseau de Bragg, fournissant ainsi une fluctuation de longueur d'onde à chaque impulsion étirée, qui est en en outre compensée dans un second réseau de Bragg fonctionnant en tant que compresseur. Le système laser et le procédé consistent en outre à mesurer, par une unité de mise en forme d'impulsion, une phase spectrale à travers l'impulsion recomprimée et à régler en outre l'écart de la phase spectrale mesurée à partir de celle de l'impulsion TL par génération d'un signal correcteur. Le signal correcteur est appliqué au réseau d'actionneurs couplés à des segments respectifs d'un BG parmi les BG qui sont sélectivement actionnés de façon à induire le changement de phase souhaité, ledit BG fonctionnant ainsi à la fois en tant que dispositif d'étirement/compresseur et formeur d'impulsions.
