Abstract:
(EN) The three-dimensional lattice structures disclosed herein have applications including use in medical implants. Some examples of the lattice structure are structural in that they can be used to provide structural support or mechanical spacing. In some examples, the lattice can be configured as a scaffold to support bone or tissue growth. Some examples can use a repeating modified rhombic dodecahedron or radial dodeca- rhombus unit cell. The lattice structures are also capable of providing a lattice structure with anisotropic properties to better suit the lattice for its intended purpose.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des structures de treillis tridimensionnel qui ont des applications comprenant l’utilisation dans des implants médicaux. Des exemples de la structure de treillis sont structurels en ce qu’ils peuvent être utilisés pour fournir un support structurel ou un espacement mécanique. Dans certains exemples, le treillis peut être configuré comme un échafaudage pour soutenir la croissance osseuse ou tissulaire. Certains exemples peuvent utiliser un dodécaèdre rhombique modifié répétitif ou une cellule unitaire de dodécarhombe radial. Les structures de treillis peuvent également fournir une structure de treillis ayant des propriétés anisotropes pour mieux s’adapter au treillis pour son application prévue.
