Abstract:
(EN) A carbon material for a catalyst carrier of a solid polymer fuel cell having a three-dimensional tree-shaped structure and satisfying the following conditions (A), (B), and (C) simultaneously. (A) The standard deviation δ(R) of the relative intensity ratio (R value) between the D-band intensity (in the vicinity of 1360 cm-1) and the G-band intensity (vicinity of 1580 cm-1) measured with a beam diameter of 1 μm and with 50 measurement points in laser Raman spectroscopy at a wavelength of 532 nm is 0.01-0.07. (B) The BET specific surface area SBET is 400-1520 m2/g. (C) The nitrogen gas adsorption amount VN:0.4-0.8 between relative pressures p/p0 of 0.4-0.8 is 100-300 cc(STP)/g. In addition, a method for manufacturing such a carbon material for a catalyst carrier.
