Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain an array antenna device that enables calibration, without having to simultaneously radiate radio waves from all element antennas, at a level equivalent to the level achieved as if all element antennas were operating. A plurality of element antennas 1 are classified into element antenna groups 10, and operating element antenna sets 20, each including at least two element antenna groups 10 including a measured element antenna group 10, are placed into an operating state in order. The present invention is provided with: an element-electric-field calculation circuit 11 that uses a plurality of received power levels of radio waves radiated with different phases by changing the phases of element antennas 1 and that calculates in-set phase differences, in an operating element antenna set 20, among element electric field vectors generated by the element antennas 1 the phases of which are changed; and a phase-difference calculation unit 16 that uses element electric field vectors of the element antennas 1 for which the element electric field vectors have been calculated by using a plurality of different operating element antenna sets 20 and that calculates phase differences among the element electric field vectors of the element antennas 1 belonging to the different operating element antenna sets 20.
