Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to reduce power consumption in a liquid crystal display device in which writing to pixels of multiple colors is performed by one source bus line. A liquid crystal display device 1 is provided with multiple gate drivers 12R∙12G∙12B for driving gate bus lines GL; and a source driver 11 for driving source bus lines SL, wherein pixel electrodes P corresponding to color filters of multiple colors (RGB) are connected to one source bus line SL. Pixel electrodes of a single color are connected to each of the gate bus lines GL. The gate drivers 12R∙12G∙12B are connected to the gate bus lines GL(R)∙GL(G)∙GL(B), respectively. In one frame, the gate drivers 12R∙12G∙12B sequentially drive the gate bus lines GL color by color.
