Abstract:
This joint structure is used to connect a first site and a second site of a robot. This joint structure comprises: a first member 504 which is provided to the first site; a second member 506 which is provided to the second site and which has a fitting surface which fits together with the first member 504; and a linking mechanism which exerts a linking force between the first member 504 and the second member 506 such that the state in which the first member 504 and the second member 506 are maintained in a state of being fitted together. The linking mechanism releases the fitted together state if the relative displacement of the first member 504 and the second member 506 from the fitted together state exceed a predetermined amount.
