Abstract:
Provided is an austenite-based thick stainless-steel plate that has a thickness of not less than 6.0 mm, and that has a chemical composition comprising, in mass%, less than 0.04% of C, not less than 1.5% of Si, not less than 2.0% of Mn, not less than 0.04% of P, not less than 0.03% of S, 0.02-0.35% of N, not less than 0.03% of O, 0.05-0.5% of Nb, 15.0-25.0% of Cr, 6.0-30.0% of Ni, 0-0.05% of Al, 0-0.4% of Ti, 0-0.4% of V, 0-0.2% of Ta, 0-0.2% of Hf, 0-0.2% of Zr, 0-3.0% of Cu, 0-5.0% of Mo, 0-5.0% of W, 0-1.0% of Co, 0-0.012% of B, 0-0.02% of Ca, 0-0.02% of Mg, and 0-0.1% REM, the remaining portion being Fe and impurities, wherein, in a cross-section perpendicular to the rolling direction, the maximum grain size is less than 0.3 mm.
