Title: METHOD FOR CONCENTRATING AND COLLECTING TARGET NUCLEIC ACID USING ANTIBODY
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an efficient nucleic acid collection method capable of concentrating, from a nucleic acid-containing sample, a nucleic acid, in a state of being usable for a genetic amplification reaction. To achieve the purpose, the present inventors have arrived at the present invention by discovering that a nucleic acid can be captured by using, as a target, a protein bound with a nucleic acid (hereinafter, also referred to as a nuclear protein or a protein-nucleic acid complex) instead of using the nucleic acid itself as a target, specifically, by causing the action of an antibody specific to a protein. In addition, the present inventors have found that a nucleic acid is not dissociated from a protein when treated with a surfactant if the nucleic acid bound with proteins such as animal cells, bacteria, and viruses is present in a cell (in the case of viruses, in an envelope), and that a bound nucleic acid can be captured and collected by an antibody specific to a nuclear protein.
