Abstract:
This signal-to-noise ratio estimation method has: an optical signal transmission step for inserting, for transmission, at least one pair of signal sequences into an arbitrary part of transmission data; a signal sequence extraction step for extracting the pair of signal sequences from a reception signal of the transmission data; an inner product calculation step for calculating the inner product value of the extracted pair of signal sequences; a reception power calculation step for calculating the reception power of the extracted pair of signal sequences; and a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) calculation step for calculating the SNR on the basis of the calculated inner product value and the calculated reception power.
