Abstract:
(EN) An organic EL device (100A) according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: an element substrate which comprises a plurality of organic EL elements (3) that are supported by a substrate; and a thin film sealing structure (10E) which is formed on the plurality of organic EL elements. The thin film sealing structure (10E) comprises at least one composite laminate (10S) which is configured of a first inorganic barrier layer (12E), an organic barrier layer (14E) that has a plurality of solid parts which are discretely distributed, while being in contact with the upper surface of the first inorganic barrier layer (12E), and a second inorganic barrier layer (16E) that is in contact with the upper surface of the first inorganic barrier layer and the upper surfaces of the plurality of solid parts of the organic barrier layer; and the plurality of solid parts include a plurality of solid parts which are discretely arranged and have recessed surfaces.
