Abstract

The present invention relates to a dual a ccelerometer vector sensor (DAVS) device. Said device comprises two tri-axial accelerometers and one hydrophone moulded in one unit. Such device is useful to measure and improve the efficiency of methodologies used to perform geophysical acoustic surveys at sea. The DAVS has the potential to contribute to this aim in various ways, for example, owing to its spatial filtering capability, it may reduce the amount of post processing by discriminating the bottom from the surface reflections. Also its compact size allows easier integration with AUVs and hence facilitates the vehicle manoeuvrability compared to the classical towed arrays. Therefore, another object of the present invention refers to an Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) comprising the DAVS device of the present invention for acquiring and monitoring underwater seismic data. The present invention is thus useful for acquiring and monitoring seismic data and belongs to the technical field of seismology, seismic prospecting, detecting and monitoring.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de capteur de vecteur d'accéléromètre double (DAVS). Ce dispositif comprend deux accéléromètres tri-axiaux et un hydrophone moulé en une seule unité. Un tel dispositif sert à mesurer et à améliorer l'efficacité de méthodologies utilisées pour effectuer des études acoustiques géophysiques en mer. Le DAVS a le potentiel de contribuer à ce but de diverses manières, par exemple, du fait de sa capacité de filtrage spatial, il peut réduire la quantité de post-traitement par discrimination des réflexions du fond de réflexions de surface. De plus, sa taille compacte permet une intégration plus facile avec les AUV, et facilite donc la manœuvrabilité du véhicule par rapport aux réseaux remorqués classiques. Par conséquent, un autre objet de la présente invention concerne des véhicules sous-marins autonomes (AUV) comprenant le dispositif de DAVS de la présente invention permettant d'acquérir et de surveiller des données sismiques sous-marines. La présente invention s'avère donc utile pour acquérir et pour surveiller des données sismiques, et appartient au domaine technique de la sismologie, de la prospection, de la détection et de la surveillance sismiques.
